Boy Racer Legislation. Are They Targeting The Wrong Group?
Is the Boy Racer Legislation a fair call or is it just there to fill police quotas?
Speaking to a few car enthusiasts in Auckland, the common opinion reagardng the new legislation is that of “Revenue Gathering”, from those that obviously have money to spend on their cars.
Perhaps the Police and Authorities should focus on the real offenders,going after actual problem causes like drink driving and fatigue.
A few people I have talked to admitted to at least drinking and driving at least once, some saying that they even physically drinking in the car while driving.
I agree they need to get drag racing off the streets. If they want to do this open an area where Boy Racers can speed, drift and have a good time for free.
They did the same when skaters became a problem.
Sure it will cost alot to start with but in the end it’ll save a lives and free up Police resources.

I think they are targeting the people but they should target both boy racers, drink drivers, and dragracing all at the same time. It would mean that the police could focus on all the boy racer problems and other problems at once. I also think they need to build a boy racer park like a skate park but for boy racers. It would be a good idea and might even gt boy racers of the strrets.
